* 24/7 On-call service to answer questions, address concerns or come to the parents when they need me in labor.

* Labor & Delivery for as long as the parents need me. This may mean arriving at the parents' home in early labor or meeting them at their birth place in active labor. Once I arrive, I remain with the parents until their baby is born and then stay for at least an hour or two after baby's birth to offer emotional support and support with baby feeding if needed.

* A minimum of one Postpartum Appointment within the first two weeks of baby's birth to discuss the birth and answer any questions or offer any referrals parents may need.

* Contact by phone or e-mail anytime before or after baby is born to answer questions, offer support and provide resources if needed.

Postpartum Doula Services

My Postpartum Doula services include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Spending a portion of, or the entire, first night home with parents and their new baby to offer assistance and support.

* Light housekeeping (laundry/dishes/vacuuming/picking up around the house).

* Assisting with baby care and providing tips to help establish parents' confidence in their own parenting abilities.

* Provide parents a break here and there so they can rest, take a long shower or spend an hour or two alone together.

* Assess any possible hurdles such as breastfeeding difficulties or postpartum mood disorders.

* Make referrals or offer local resources as needed.

* Offer a listening, non-judgemental ear and work my way out of a job as parents become experts with their new baby!
